My family and I stayed at the 1 bedroom Deluxe Villa with a balcony from June 18-25. Was spacious villa and view of the ocean from the balcony. We were right by the swimming poll so for our 3 1/2 year old it was great since she absolutely loved the pools and beaches.
There is a shuttle that takes your from the Harborside to all the towers. The Royal Towers have the best pools and The Cove is the nicest beach. We had dinner the first night at The Marketplace which is a buffet. But we were not entirely found of the food they served. The only thing worth eating was the stir fry that they make fresh for you and then the desserts and ice cream. So not worth $46.00 per person for just that.
We also ate at Cafe D’Angelo, Marina Pizzeria, Carmine’s and the Delicatessen which is at Marina Village. We highly recommend Carmine’s so make your reservation for this restaurant at the beginning of your stay since it is family style portions so you will have leftovers for the next day.
My husband and I walked downtown one day, but not worth it if all you want to get is souvenirs. We did the Dolphin Encounter at Blue Lagoon Island which was $98 per person versus the $148 at Dolphin Cay at The Atlantis. Also, our daughter got her hair braided at Blue Lagoon and they did a great job and only $2.00 per braid.
There are kayak and row boat rentals next to the Reef Tower which are very fun to do and kids love them. There are a few souvenir stands on the beach by The Royal Towers which you can negotiate prices for dresses and jewelry. The Aura nightclub is awesome and one of the pools by The Royal Towers has a DJ playing so the atmosphere is pumping.
Basically we spent alot of time by The Harborside pool or The Royal Towers. We are looking forward to going back since it is a resort for all ages. Enjoy your trip!…..Kathy, IL
